Memoir

In my ten-week “Stories from the Heart” class, participants write short but meaningful stories about their life, each on a different topic. Each week, I introduce interesting themes and priming questions that evoke memories of events once known but filed away and seemingly forgotten. Students receive support, structure, and encouragement in the safety of a small group. No writing experience is required. The purpose of this class is to help you tell your story in your voice, for the people who matter to you.

I became a certified Guided Autobiography leader in 2015, and was certified by the Birren Center, the leader in this field for 40 years. Since then, I’ve led many people of all abilities and walks of life through this process, all of whom have written amazing stories.

For some people, the process of writing is reward enough. For others, the goal was to collect enough stories to fill a book that they had printed and then gifted to their family, preserving their memories for generations. Whatever your purpose, and whatever your ability, the group is there to support you and encourage you along the way.

Classes are held in my North Boulder home, and are limited to no more than six participants at a time. New classes start twice a year, in the spring and fall.

The ten-week series is $200, and is payable by Venmo, check, or cash.
