I grew up in the midwest and moved to Boulder when I was 21, having picked it off a map, sight unseen, and have been happy to call it home ever since. I am active in the community and appreciate the many deep connections I’ve made here.

My professional counseling work has focused on healing from sexual assault and other trauma, reproductive health, including abortion and infertility, navigating relationships, parenting, aging, and grief. I worked in a number of clinics and mental health organizations before opening my private practice in 1995. I added memoir coaching to my portfolio in 2015.

I picked up photography when I turned 50, as both a creative outlet and a way to keep my mind sharp. I enjoy capturing the beauty I see and sharing it with others. I enjoy gardening, hiking the trails with my little dog, and playing Zimbabwean marimba. I am married, and have a young adult daughter.
